Hi everyone,
We would like to suggest improvements to the pop up modals on resource lists, such as when editing a list description or submitting a digitisation request.
Currently on a small screen such as a laptop, the whole of the modal is not viewable on the screen and users must scroll down in order to reach the rest of the form.
This is fine if you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, but if you are using the laptop's touch pad, then this isn't possible. We have received comments from admin staff and lecturers that when they go to click the scroll bar at the side of the webpage it closes the pop up modal, and they aren't able to fill out the forms.
This also affects one member of our team who requires the screen to be zoomed in due to their eyesight issues.
Please could this functionality be looked at so that users without a scroll-wheel mouse can navigate the pop up modals effectively.
Best wishes,
Andrew Manton-Maund

Thanks Kate, we'll keep an eye out for that and see what happens then.
Just keep in mind this won't be noticeable on a standard monitor, it affects functionality on smaller screens such as laptops.
Hi Andrew, and all,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We plan to run an accessibility audit in early 2025. From that we will evaluate & prioritise improvements.
Thank you.

This is a bit of a bugbear with me too! Zooming out to an unfeasibly tiny screen just to see a save button and not lose what you've typed would not seem accessible to many.
