In the My Bookmarks area of Talis Reading List, add:
tags or a method of grouping / categorising bookmarks
a method of filtering items
User feedback is that this would be beneficial for teaching staff who are delivering multiple courses / lists with various topics. When creating a large number of bookmarks, and editing multiple Talis lists, having this functionality would increase the useability.
Yes please tags! I find the practice of grouping texts into sections doesn't allow us to show the complex relations between texts. For example I've got a reading list with texts about feminism, intersectionality, decolonisation, critical disability studies, feminist disability theory etc. It doesn't work to put these texts into neat buckets because they have multiple relates to and between each other.
With tags, we could then have the option to filter by tag, to help refine the list and make it less overwhelming.
Thank you for this idea. We are planning to work on tagging in the next 12 months and will add this idea to features we are considering.
