We bulk archive lists every year, we do so based on the previous academic year at the start of the current academic year to avoid confusion for students and academics. However, occasionally academics come back and want that list to be active again or become active again, sometimes just for a few months, (re-sits, etc.).
Separating these out from bulk archive process is not as robust as I would like it to be and ideally would like to be able to unarchive (limited to specific roles, ideally systems administrator)
Although there is the copy option available, once we are archiving our lists we have removed the option for the previous academics year from the list to avoid the incorrect year being selected, This means that the VLE linking that they are wanting to keep no longer would work. Also, we are having to alter the list owner for them. Finally it means the list statistics being across multiple lists.
The ability for a re-activation/un-archiving or lists maintaining the original link, academic year and full information would be far preferable than any other option, however we also want to manage it by limiting to specific roles which would exclude our academics.
Hi again Jill, we have discussed this with our technical team and will move this to the backlog to assess in the future. Best, Georgia
Thanks for your feedback, this will be going for a technical review with our team.
