We would like to add 'Databases" to the resource type list. I have seen other users would like to add other resources types. Why not allow users to add resource types to the list that work for their organisation?
We would like the option of a resource type something like "Artefact", or "Object", or "Kit". We have a range of physical objects in our Library collections (including art works, maths equipment, and in our primary teaching collection even games and toys). OCLC WorldCat has format types such as Kit, Toy and Object, which we use, but we can't replicate those in Aspire.
Yes this! I need a resource type of photograph and object for a list today. We have a class that is asking students to examine medical photos from our archives and use a model. I am having to lie and say the photos are documents that i have to upload as digitized content on a pdf rather than a png or jpeg. And we are just having to pick something for the model.
Hi Emma! Thank you for your ideas. Product is in discussions with the dev team on both the feasibility of adding new resource types as well as enabling you to add your own. Regards, Kate
We are now looking at this as part of our continuous improvement theme in 2024. Best, Georgia Georgiou (Product Manager)
