Customized cover images

Possibility to upload cover images for List items. Right now only a few resources will generate cover images in the list (mainly paper books), we would like to have an option to upload images. This would be a lot more visually attractive for stude...

Add 'Selected Pages' as a 'Resource Type' in reading list and change Page fields for 'From-To' to just 'Pages'ages

Currently the 'Resource type' in the metadata of a resource on a reading list has chapter, article, document etc. There are many times when a list owner requests selected random pages that are not a whole chapter and it is difficult to show that. ...

Enable list student numbers to be updated -- in bulk via an uploaded report -- OR an LTI with enrolment systems

Currently the student number on lists has to be updated manually and individually. This is timeconsuming and tedious. It would be wonderful if the student numbers on lists could be updated in bulk via an uploaded report, the same way hierarchy nod...

Referencing styles

It would be super cool if the Talis lists could be formatted according to the referencing style guide that is used by the discipline and had the fields populated appropriately. It would be giving added value to the students who need to use these f...

When bookmarking books to include ISBNs with 020 |z's in RDA records as well as 020 |a's

A lot of the large record downloads from suppliers and other sources set ISBNs for e-books with |z (used for faulty ISBNs) at the front, not |a's. This is because the ISBNs are not in the actual e-book text (an absurd and pointless cataloguing pra...

Ability to set an institutional level retention period for storage of bookmarks by list editors and creators

Allow List Publishers to see when a list was last reviewed

List Publishers cannot currently see the Review History of a list - they can only see the "Updated" data, which is often misleading for lecturers as "Updated" includes updates by Library staff, such as adding e-book links or updating editions. Thi...

Ability to 'cut & paste' sections of a reading list into another reading list. I work on multiple programmes where my subject is one of several within a module, each of which has its own, specific reading list associated. With the current set-up, this means that my texts need to be painstakingly added to each. functionality that enables you to lift whole sections (or a link to all/part of another reading list) would save huge amounts of time each year.

Short URLs for sharing reading lists

At the moment Talis RL links are very long strings of alphanumerics. A shortened version to share more elegantly would look very nice. E.g. rl.talis.com/Institution/PSYC101 rather than https://rl.talis.com/3/institution/lists/AB01234C-0A2B-3C4D-DD...
