Import list or section into another list

It would be great to be able to easily import a list or section within a list to another list. The workaround I found was to export a list as a RIS file, then import these as bookmarks. But then you have to add each bookmark to the list where you want it, and then go into there to reorganise into sections. This feels like an unnecessary amount of leg work!
