Previous review data for items which appear on live lists
It would be useful to view previous review data for items which appear on live lists (i.e. list(s) it is on and the review outcome). This would allow acquisitions staff to quickly gauge whether there is sufficient stock for the total number of students or if an item has already been ordered for another course.

Importing citataions
From one of our academics ...
Being able to import bookmark items from Delicious (others would want endnote).
13 votesThis feature is complete but we are beta testing it with a small group of academics before making it generally available. This is so we can ensure the import is working for a wide range of situations.

New editions displayed when bookmarking
In reviews 2.0 and dashboard analytics there is an alert which shows that newer editions are available. Would it be possible to display this functionality to academics when they are bookmarking
12 votesNew editions are now shown when using Quick Add to add resources in New List Edit.

Include "Editor" in the front screen list view
At the moment, there is no distinction between editors and authors when you bookmark an item - both are labelled as "Author" in the initial metadata. If you edit the metadata to describe an editor as "Editor", that information no longer appears in the front screen list view. We would ideally like the bookmark button to be able to distinguish between the two when bookmarking (as MARC does with the 100/700 field distinction) and we would like Editors to appear in the front screen list view to improve the information available to students in support of good citation practices.
12 votesEditors now appear in the new list view when looking at an item and will display as ‘Edited by’ when they are present.

Create a manual bookmark from the editing page
It would be useful to have the option to create a new bookmark from the editing page, rather than having to go to My Bookmarks to select this.

Change the display of journal article details
The current display of issue, page end, page start, volume is not helpful to our users who would prefer: volume, issue, page start, page end

Move the Library availability applet
At the moment the Library Availability applet is on the bottom right of the screen. But it is arguably one of the most important things for a student. How about moving it to top right - or giving us the ability to customise this?
12 votesWe’ve now moved this applet further towards the top of the screen, just under the “This item appears on…” area.

add a 'back to top' link in a reading list.
To help with long lists instead of a cumbersome long scroll back up.
11 votesWe're pleased to announce the release of a new feature that users had asked for. When viewing a reading list and starting to scroll down the list, we now have a ‘Back to top’ button that will allow users to jump to the top of the page with one click.

Easier way to remove completed lists from the Review screen
We have a large number of lists in the Reviews screen in the acquisitions area. We want to reduce it because the list takes so long to load.
However, whenever we set a list to "Remove From View" the whole screen reloads. Therefore removing half a dozen lists can soemtimes take half an hour of staff time.
Additionally, we have a large team of staff adding lists. therefore, in the time it takes to remove lists, more have been added, meaning that we are unable to get on top of this issue.
We would like the paged changed, so that…11 votes -
Acquisitions - introduce the idea of 'states'
To enable the Acquisitions Library Review process to support more complex workflows, it could be extremely useful to introduce the idea of 'states' (or similar) to lists under Review. Customers could select how many 'states' their workflow necessitates and what labels they wish to attach to 'State 1', 'State 2' and so on (e.g. 'Liaison Librarian review', 'Link checking', 'Acquisitions processing' etc). Lists submitted for review could arrive in 'State 1' and then be moved to 'State 2', 'State 3' as this review process progresses. The view of lists under Review could then be filtered according to State (e.g. 'Show…
11 votesReviews allows the library to setup Stages to use when working through a review. Stages work in the way that states are spoken about in this idea. More details can be found here: https://support.talis.com/hc/en-us/articles/207469855

All List Items report to include url from 'is part of' section
We often have bookmarks for book chapters where the url to the book as a whole is entered into the 'is part of book' section, without a separate url to the book chapter entered into the chapter section. This is done as it is sometimes not possible to link directly to a chapter. In these cases, we add a student note along the lines of "Please read pages 57-69".
In the All List Items report, DOI fields that are present in the 'is part of' section are included (though not in a separate field), but the url present in the…

Search by title in reports module
We'd like to be able to search by title in the Reports module, rather than having to export all to csv and search from there.
This would be particularly useful for us when ebook contracts end, so we can quickly and easily search which list(s) have those items.
10 votesWe have introduced three new filters on the All List items report which should make it easier to search for and report on specific works, Title, ISBN-10 and ISBN-13.

Allow the images of book covers to appear in the actual reading list
In the detailed display there is a small image of the book. One of our student reps is asking for this to be displayed in the actual list as a visual prompt to the book they should be reading. Given we have dyslexic students and many in design related subjects who are visual learners, the more visual the lists could be the better.
10 votesThis is now available in the new list view.
If you would like to see further enhancements please raise a new idea.

Removal of duplicates during the review stage
When reviewing a list every instance of the bookmarked resource appears. Sorting the resources by title groups them together for the most part (this misses out instances where a chapter in the work has been added under the chapter title). It would be good if Aspire could display resources once only regardless of the number of times it appears on the list.
10 votesWe now group the items and chapters are included in the grouping

Pop-up reminder... to request review/publish
It might help staff to have a reminder to request review/publish when they are making changes to their lists. We have a large number of lists where there are either unpublished changes or staff have forgotten to request review to start up the acquisitions process. A po-up could help draw their attention to further action needed, thank you.

Don't delete review logs
Both subject and acquisition librarians review stock each year for items on reading lists, and decide on purchases based on various data. In Aspire, there is a very helpful log for notes, but we'd like two improvements:
a) it should be exported along with the review outcome and item data
b) it should never be deleted. If a second review takes place, all of the work done and notes made in the first review is lost. Review history should always be kept.10 votes -

Delete a list
To assist final data conversion it would be good to be able to delete an Aspire list in full. It would certainly help us now- but might also be useful in managing the tenancy longer-term as academics leave or courses are discontinued- being able to kill unwanted lists completly may be in order????
Another benefit is that it allows us to get rid of test lists that we are not 'proud' of. With Aspire exposed to search engines it kind of makes sense to allow 'play' and then taking back to base level to keep standards high????
10 votesWe have released “Archive List” to live, which is in effect the deletion of a list, as archived lists are not available from the hierarchy or search
