Ability to remove users
Our user report is becoming unwieldy and full of staff who have left. We would like the ability to delete them. This would make user management/review a lot more efficient and accurate.
(Yes, if they've left, their account should have been deactivated so they can't access, but this is equally something that should not be relied upon and we should be deleting them from all our systems too.)

Ability to manage user permissions
After some discussion we feel it would be useful to have the ability to control user permissions. There may be instances where we would like to give library staff the ability to publish lists but would then like to remove that permission or change their role.
16 votesThis is a valuable idea and user management is an area I would like us to investigate further in the future.
However its not in our near term development focus, so it has been moved to the longer term backlog. Ideas may be graduated from the backlog as we get through the ones that are planned.

Improve Dashboard visibility and exportability
The Dashboard contains analytics on usage, editions, metadata, views, etc, which would be very useful if it was more widely available. The current restriction to List Owners or List Publishers prevents other relevant and appropriate interested parties for accessing and assessing this data.
In a Library managed model distributed across several campuses, we are not yet at the stage of giving teaching staff List Publisher roles and incorporating Reviews into our workflows. We also rarely have a single teaching member of staff, which makes List Owner not a useful feature either, being restricted to one person who has also created…

However, this is not currently in our near term development focus so it has been moved to the longer term backlog.

List Owner view of invited publishers and ability to revoke access
A number of List Owners have multiple publishers they've invited to help with the management of their list. At this time they are unable to see who has and has not accepted their invites. Visibility on who has access rights to a list would be incredibly useful, particularly if this could also include the ability to revoke access to a list when for example that employee has moved on or is no longer associated with the course.

New Role to View Draft Lists
I would like to suggest a new role that allows the holder to view draft lists but not publiish or edit them.
In our university lists are entered several different ways. Some academics ener lists themselves but lists are usually entered by library staff or departmental administrators. However, academics understandably want to have final say on what appears on their lists and so want to see the draft lists before they are published.
Having to publish lists before the academics can see them mean that students start using the lists before they are really complete. Also if there are major…

Editing text in invitations
When sending invitations to academic staff, we would like the standard text in the message template to be customisable to reflect our tenancy's configuration; without having to modify it each time we send it. For example, we have just asked Talis to add 'View Dashboard' to the role of List Creator. Currently, that does not appear in the list of permissions in the standard message template for that role.
8 votesThis is not currently in our near term development focus so it has been moved to the longer term backlog. It will be merged with a similar existing idea.

Gravatar + user profiles
Prompted by comments from academics creating a profile.
At the moment it is compulsory to use Gravatar in order to add a profile picture. Is it possible to have an alternative option to just upload an image file directly? An image is a friendly personalisation of lists, but the extra steps of joining Gravatar are putting people off!7 votesLow priority as it’s a cosmetic function, and the user can complete the task

Allow Users to Set a Preferred Name for Their Public Profile
Create additional field(s) to allow users to set a preferred name in their public user profile whereby a user could choose to replace their 'official' name which currently is auto generated on login via the university SSO identity management system. Highly desirable to aid student recognition of the form of name that their lecturers choose to be known by.

Resend invites - remove option when invitation is accepted
If an invite has been accepted, say, 5 days ago, why do we still see the option to 'Resend invite'? Surely, there would be no need to resend an invite if one had already been accepted. Could the button be removed from invites that have been accepted, please?
