compulsary heirarchy code/customisable text
When creating a new list, it would be helpful if the hierarchy code select was mandatory. Academics often create lists in addition to the lists we have rolled over for them, and don't attach these lists to hierarchy codes. This creates issues with linking to the learning management system, with future rolling over of lists, and when they submit digitisation requests. They will add a course codes when submitting their digitisation request that doesn't necessarily match the format of our hierarchy codes i.e. LIBTEST 101 vs LIBTEST101. This can result in duplicate digitisations and inaccurate reporting. This might be mitigated…

Browse hierarchy - move +Add List button closer
When no list is attached to a module can the +Add List button be moved closer so there is less white space on the screen between module code/name and the button. We think some lecturers look at this quickly and do not spot the button.

Please could an alert for review automatically go though when student numbers are changed.
The hierarchy and student numbers can be opened out of the edit field. List writers can just change the student numbers press save and close down the list and no one is any the wiser.

Option of Student Numbers defaulting to hierarchy not list
We have student numbers for our modules stored in our student administration system. We want to be able to upload this information through the hierarchy into Aspire, and this be the definitive student number for the lists. Academics editing the list however, are able to add their own numbers, and this is the number which is shown in Reviews 2.0 i.e. list numbers have precedence over hierarchy upload numbers. We would like to be able to choose which number is set as the default – hierarchy or list number

Hierarchy - grey out empty lists
Many libraries have lists of every module, many of which are empty. If empty modules in the hierarchy were greyed out (faded) then it would be very very obvious which are those modules with content. This would then encourage students to pester those staff who have not got with the programme.
4 votesThis is a similar request to this idea which is planned: http://ideas.talisaspire.com/forums/32805-talis-aspire-ideas/suggestions/1637573-show-lists-linked-to-units-within-the-hierarchy.
This is not currently in our near term development focus so it has been moved to the longer term backlog while we focus on items in the development focus.
Ideas may be graduated from the backlog as we get through the ones that are planned.

Direct update of module hierarchy from SITs
There are a number of Talis Aspire clients using hte SITs student information system. The module data on our VLE is updated directly from the SITs files. Would it be possible to develop a similar facility bewteen SITs and Talis Aspire?

Ability to know who deleted a node
We just discovered that a module had disappeared and Support were only able to tell us that someone had deleted it. It was definitely loaded and viewed in Aspire before. It is disappointing that we can't tell who deleted it when; can this be made possible, either for us or Support?
I do realise this Idea partly relates to the "More granular set of edit node permissions required" - if that were implemented, the ability to delete a node could be tied down much more and at least the pool of potential deleters would be more limited!
I realise this…2 votesSimilar to the Activity audit idea: http://ideas.talisaspire.com/forums/32805-talis-aspire-reading-lists-ideas-archive/suggestions/3611090-activity-audit-knowing-who-s-done-what
We think this is a valuable idea and something we will wish to investigate in the future, however its not in our near term development focus, so it has been moved to the longer term backlog.
Ideas may be graduated from the backlog as we get through the ones that are planned.

Show lists linked to units within the hierarchy
When viewing the hierarchy, it would be useful to quickly see which units have lists attached within a department. Would enable library staff to target units where there were no lists.
