All List Items report to include url from 'is part of' section
We often have bookmarks for book chapters where the url to the book as a whole is entered into the 'is part of book' section, without a separate url to the book chapter entered into the chapter section. This is done as it is sometimes not possible to link directly to a chapter. In these cases, we add a student note along the lines of "Please read pages 57-69".
In the All List Items report, DOI fields that are present in the 'is part of' section are included (though not in a separate field), but the url present in the…

"Link To" value included in All Items Report
Could the Link To value be included in the All Items Report i.e. either blank, DOI, OpenURL or Web Address.
This would really simplify our metadata checking, particularly for improperly formed URLs through EZproxy, but also for confirming our preferred linking method is being used by academic staff.
An example would be if we moved a journal subscription to a new platform - we could filter the All Items Report CSV on Journal title (or ISSN) and DOI or Web Address (confident that OpenURL would manage the platform change external to Talis)>

Include edition field in item reports
The all items report includes most of the metadata that belongs to an item, but does not include the edition statement. Doing so would make it possible to see at a glance what items are added to lists and how they are formatted - identify edition statements in words, for example, which have implications for reference formatting. The editions functionality in reviews does something different, and does not allow you to create reports like this. Given how few fields there are in item records, we should be able to report on all of them.
2 votesWe have released a change to the All List items report export, you can now view the following data:
Edition
This will help you identifying editions used in reading lists across your tenancy.

All Lists report to flag TADC digitisations
The All Lists report should include a column showing the TADC digitisation availability in some way - bundle URL or TADC record number would be useful. I noticed this absence when using the All Lists report to check on chapters which might require digitisation/purchase as ebooks across our tenancy.
8 votesWe have released a change to the All List items report export, you can now view the following data:
Talis Aspire Digitised Content (TADC) Request ID
TADC Request Status
TADC Bundle IDThis resolves the issue raised here on knowing if an item has a digitisation linked to it and how to locate it.
If there are further changes you would like to see please raise a new idea.

Include further bibliographic info in All List Items report - specifically book publisher
We are using report data to trigger ordering and identify high demand text books across thousands of reading lists. Having publisher information in the report would make our workflow substantially more efficient. I'm hoping this may be included as part of the work to improve Reviews.
1 votePublisher is now in the All list items report

Reporting: adding web address data when exporting from a reading list
When viewing a list in 'My Lists', there is an option to "Export". This provides a table with the following columns: Date Added, Title, Type, Item Link, Local Control Number, ISBN10, ISBN13, ISSN, EISSN, DOI, Importance, Note for Student, and Note for Library.
At Monash, we would like to have the web address included in the fields that are exported. It could sit adjacent to the 'DOI' column. This will be advantageous to us because we have to suppress and unsuppress our links to digitised items for copyright reasons and we would be able to identify the digitised items using…

Ability to filter on 'Lists Reviewed' within the All Lists report
As we are beginning to start planning for 2014/15 reading lists, we are trying to establish an effective method for tracking whether a list has been Reviewed or not.
The All Lists report has all the other fields required for such a report - is it possible for you to add:
'List Reviewed' = Yes / No as a filter on this report, Show the 'Review Status' as well show the 'Last Reviewed date' in the report so that we could manage Reviews more effectively?Annette Moore

Additional reports: list and item usage statistics
We would like to suggest two additional reports for the Reports menu that would provide list and item usage statistics globally across departments and modules with the aim of demonstrating the value of reading lists and impact on item usage. One report for Page views and one for Item Views.
Key fields we would like to see included are; page view (main list page), module code, module title, department, the number of students on the course, number of items on a list and for Item Views the item format.
54 votesList and item usage stats are now available through Advanced Management Information System (Advanced MIS). If you would like to know more than please reach out to your Account Manager. https://support.talis.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006213238-Talis-Aspire-Advanced-MIS-Overview

Include the author in All List Items reports
We would find it really useful to include the author in the All List Items report. Not all items on the current report include an ISBN which means it can be difficult to work out which item is required for books with common titles and without having to constantly check back to the original record on Aspire.

Student Number column in the All Lists reports
It would be incredibly useful for an additional column to be provided in the All Lists reports for 'Student Number' in the way that we currently have 'Item Count'.
This would mean we could view how many students were being catered for by the Talis Lists in varying time periods / schools / etc.
Currently the only way to gain a snapshot of student numbers for a defined set of lists is to go in to each list manually and pull the information out one at a time.

All List Items Report to include Student Notes
We would find it useful for the All List Items Report to include Student Notes, just like it includes Library Notes.
With a Library managed list building model, we would like to use this as an overall quality control including checks for typos and consistency of message and to check on bookmarks created for chapters which we weren't able to scan due to copyright restrictions (as we include a Student Note to direct the student to the chapter in this instance).
At the moment, it's only possible to see this information list by list.Cheers,
SvG

Report on number of copies in the library
A report that shows the number of copies of each title in stock without having to check each title individually. this would be useful for acquisitions if you use a formula. You could see quickly if you had the right ratio of copies for the number of students on the course
1 voteWe have reviewed this item and due to availability being a live feed and constantly changing it is not possible to report on the number of copies you have in stock in a report format.
We have though as part of the reviews refresh displayed the library stock in the reviews screen so when making purchasing decisions you can quickly see how many items you have and the format they are available in, this also provides you with the current availability of those items. You can then use this information in line with your formulas if you use them as part of your ordering process.

Sorting Reports by Date Created and Last Edited
Hi.
We'd find it usefull if you could sort the "All Lists" report by Date.1 voteAll llists can be sorted by last updated date

Adding the Publisher as a field to the 'All List Items Report'
This would allow us to sort all of our essential texts by publisher which would help us to target e-book negotiations with publishers where we know that we require a large number of texts

"Library notes" in report
It would be useful to be able to produce a report showing "library notes" alongside item information (ideally a column in the All List Items report). This would make it easier for us to identify new / changed library notes, regardless of whether the list had been submitted for review.

Archived Lists report should show who archived the list
Simple common sense request. Useful information in the system should be accessible in general, but this is a specific one that I was advised to add as an Idea by Support..

csv option in Roles and Invites
we would like a csv export option in Roles and Invites so we can view all users in one document that we can manipuate

Add report for seeing usage (logins etc) by academics
There is still no way we can see who is using Aspire and how often. This was discussed as a key area of reports way back at the MIS day and is essential for supporting academic engagement strategies. We need to know which academics have logged in to Aspire, when they last logged in, how often they log in, which academics haven't logged in, all over user-selected date ranges.
5 votesLast login was added to the All User profiles report.

Create a filter for Aspire role in All User Profiles report
The All User Profiles report would be improved with a filter for Aspire role. There's no way of knowing who has what role unless you export the spreadsheet and filter it that way, or look at individual users

New Report - Published Lists that have not yet been sent for Review
Our set up allows academics to publish their own lists, but we are aware of occasions when some lists where the a Request a Review has not been sent. Could a report be set up to identify published lists that have not been sent for review showing the date published.
9 votesWe will be including a last review date into the all list report. We will also be investigating some possibilities around identifying items on published lists that haven’t been reviewed as part of the reviews work we are doing
