Suppress openURL link for Digitisations
We would like the option to suppress the openURL link, when we have a link to the digitalisation of an article. At the moment, when you expand the readfing list item, as well as the link to the digitalised copy there is a "Click for full text" link. This link goes via our link resolver and invariably results in a "Sorry we do not have this article" message. If we did have access to the article then we wouldn't have digitalised it in the first place. An option to disable would cause less confusion with our users - which is…

Withdraw expired digitisations
Currently expired digitisations can not be withdrawn, but there are situations where this functionality would be useful.
We have been informed by our RRO that a certain publisher has asked to be excluded from our licence, and as such we need to remove any content from that publisher. We also need to prevent any future user requests from auto-matching with previously digitised material in the vault.
This would also be useful for quality control purposes, and resolving issues that sometimes only become apparent in reports, after the digitisation has expired.5 votes -
LCN reporting in TADC
It would be really useful if the TADC reports included the Library control number from which the item was digitised. I know reading lists reports can provide the LCN so I was hoping the same could be implemented in TADC. This will help identify items in our library collection that have been digitised and ensure they remain in our collection and are not accidentally weeded.

Requesting digitisation of legal resources
Add the ability to request digitisation of legal resources.
The addition of new legal and law resources types in reading lists is appreciated, but it is still not possible to request digitisation for these resource types.5 votesThis is something Talis are working towards. Currently Talis Aspire Digitised Content only enables you to upload materials that require copyright clearance, but the Talis Player will not only enable you to upload material that needs to be copyright cleared, but also other materials.
Talis have been working with beta partners to develop this, and we will keep you up to date with the wider release of this through the usual updates (webinars, newsletters, events etc).

Report of items with new editions /e-versions before starting Rollover process ?
Have the ability to run a report ( which checks for newer editions / e-versions before rollover. It might have to pick up items where last year the lecturer said they were happy with the older edition, but still let us know there were newer edtions after that? We have a policy of not rolling over material unless it's confirmed that the material is required, &
sometimes we don;t get a reply to a renewal email until just before the course starts, start the rollover process , find a potential newer edition, & have to decide between checking with the…5 votes -
Could we view in TADC a list or report of all of the EHESS CFP requests we've made so far?
We'd like the ability to view any on-order or already purchased EHESS items. This is to avoid duplicating requests to the BL as they do not inform us if we've already requested something.

Display indication of Expired digitisations within TARL
Within TARL Expired digitisations are not clearly identifiable. The current display of Expired digitisations within TARL:
- From the TARL edit list view - still appears as ‘Digitisation Live’
- From the TARL list view - still displays the Online Resource buttons
- With the CNAME feature active, within the bookmark item view - if the browser is not maximized, the 'view digitisation in a new window' button appears
The display of the Expired digitisation in these three areas is confusing for both staff and students.
This idea suggests to make changes to any or all of these three areas to more clearly…

Removal of "check for local electronic submissions" button for journal article extracts
Reading list entries for journal articles have a link to "check for local electronic subscriptions".
Where articles are digitised, the link to the digital extract is further down the page. It is sometimes necessary to scroll down to see this, particularly on mobile devices and other small screens. Hence, student clicks on "click to see e-sub" link (and gets "not available" message) and does not realise that digital extract is available as this is not visible.
Can this "check for local electronic subscriptions" link be removed in cases where there is a digital extract available? (Generally , there should not…

Coutts widget
We are starting to get to grips with using the Coutts widget in Aspire. We would like to see a similar lookup tool added to TADC so that we can have the option of purchasing e-books instead of raising scan requests.
5 votesThis is is not currently in our near term development focus but purchasing workflows are something we would look to explore in the future
It has been placed into moved to the longer term backlog.
Ideas may be graduated from the backlog as we get through the ones that are planned.

Add field ‘Article Number’ as an option in the bookmarking process
Some articles have article numbers instead of page numbers. So I hope this option would be available when we are bookmarking. It will help students to obtain the essential reference/citation information when needed.

Batch complete Rollover
When rolling over digitisations it is possible to complete the rollover process through the 'Successful' tab under 'By Pre-Clearance Status' on the 'Rollovers' tab.
Currently, it is possible to select an entire page worth of rollovers and batch complete them, however as there are only 25 results to a page we have to process a lot of a very small batches and then wait a while as the page refreshes. As we roll over hundreds of digitisations at a time we find this quite time consuming.
Would it be possible to either increase the amount of results to a page…4 votes -
Display Requests in reverse order
By default the requests are listed with the most recently submitted at the top. At this time of year when a lot of requests are coming in (but they are not required until September) we would prefer to work through them in the order they arrive (so start with request 1). We only went live this week but already I have to scroll to page 3 to find the earliest submitted request. Would it be possible to click on the column headings to change the order of the list?
4 votesWe think the idea is valuable and it is in our longer term backlog for review, scoping and prioritising at a later date

Schedule dates for TADC requests to go live/or option to hide digitised content
We have had some instances where a request for digitisation has been made and that the scan go 'live' on a specific date. It would be useful to be able to upload digitised content and schedule the go live date in these instances so the work can be fully completed and uploaded in advance. Alternatively a feature for list editors to hide/make visible digitised content within a bookmark could be a potential option.

time period
Time periods in TADC: Add the ability to either hide or remove time periods from TADC "Available for rollover' menu. QUT has 33 individual time periods and has been running TADC for 3 years which is 99 time periods to scroll through to select the most current time period. We only rollover from previous year so would like the ability to hide any time period older than 2 years without impacting on the ability to report on those earlier time periods.

Can we add a 'no review/purchase required' tag to Reading Lists Reviews
Can we add a 'no review/purchase required' tag to Reading Lists reviews for academics to apply to certain items on very long reading lists?
This would allow them to keep all their reading material in one list AND allow such items to be filtered out of review list presented to Library Assistants when starting review (possibly linked to the section Key/Recommended/Background)?

Bulk withdrawal of digitisations removed from reading lists
At the beginning of each semester, lecturers are reviewing their reading lists and removing their digitisations .Library staff are then required to withdraw a large number of digitisations from the Digitised Content. The ability to bulk withdraw these digitisations with a standard notification to the lecturers would be really useful.

When the British Library do not hold the item, can TADC add a "GET IT FOR ME" function that BLDSS have.
When the British Library do not hold the item, the request is rejected via TADC. Can TADC add a "GET IT FOR ME" function that asks the BL to obtain the Copyright CLeared article from another institution. We use this function via our library management system easily enough, but it would be useful not to have to place a request twice.

The ability to add bib page range when using the Upload new version
When selecting a request from the vault it often overrides the request detail in the original request. This includes where bib pages have already been added. This can be frustrating when a request has already been reviewed and adjusted for accuracy.
As the bib page range does not count towards the 10% allowance, it can be misleading to have it in the main page range. Especially where the allowance is being maximised. We are also re-uploading a lot of requests with OCR adjustments and re-checking page ranges. Therefore, it would be useful to be able to add a separate range…

TADC digitisation and adding priorities
I have noticed when academics/staff submit digitisations, you cannot see the priority of the chapter they want digitised - e.g. Core, Recommended or Additional. We try to only digitise items with a Core priority. This creates a loophole for us. We end up spending a lot of money on digitisation requests which we shouldn't be.

Ability to request digitisation for an image
Ability to request digitisation for an image for copyright, where the parent on the bookmark is a book .
At the moment we can only put it in as a chapter and change it to image once we have digitised it. This is problematic as each time the list is copied or rolled, this will have to be changed over again.2 votes
