Hi Guys not to be rude but this is genuinely the hardest software to use
Most reasonably good online book systems actually don't have the book take up the entire screen, so you have to scroll for hours endlessly. Wherewith any other system, it may take me a minute to find the right word this takes forever, Talis give you a content page, but the problem with this is most books sections are hundreds of pages long, and when Talis puts a quarter of 1 page to fill up your screen its futile to scroll through endless information it's like they think we are 300 years old with the eyesight of a mole.
The search feature isn't that much better, it does help, but it doesn't show you a full-sentence, unlike other systems such as Ebsco. Instead, it just gives you fragments of a sentence; it would be best to start from the start of a sentence rather than the surrounding 5 words meaning I have to guess what it's on about. Welp, even if you get the right part in the sentence when you click through, it doesn't highlight where in the giant zoomed-in book it actually is leading you on another mole run. By then, you give up. So many students here have complained about this to our librarian.
It's sad because now many of us write of Talis as soon as we click on it, so our UNI, in a way, doesn't actually have these books in any usable format.
Many students use the ctrl f system on books; of course, Talis doesn't like this... this would be good to implement.
Any help is much appreciated,
Kind Regards.

In my opinion, this system still needs improvement.
Thanks

Hello. You're right! This software is really difficult to use. I agree with everything you wrote above. I hope someone hears this!
