Greater prominence for notes in scan "declined" notification
We would like the individual notes from TADC administrators to have greater prominence in the notification email that goes out to requesters when a scan is declined.
This year we've had an unprecedented number of emails from academics who have been confused about why a scan request has been declined - even though the exact reason was contained within the notification email. The note from the TADC administrator which can be added at the point of rejecting the request (e.g. "Note from Rob Challis: Book available electronically. Direct link added to resource list.") is hidden at the bottom of the email, underneath the sign-off - and is often missed. We'd like to see it appearing in a more prominent position, preferably within the body of the main message.

A great idea, we also get queries from academic staff who have missed the reason. They are time poor and do not always read to the bottom of emails.

Another vote here, it's not unusual for us to have staff contact regarding a rejection as the free text message isn't particularly prominent.

Yes, very much agree with this idea - and academic staff I've talked to have questioned why the reason is so hidden.

Yes please - just a simple reordering so that the reason (ebook / no permission etc) comes first before the bib details of the item. I'm not sure it would stop the emails entirely, but I too have a feeling that they see the word 'rejection' in the header & just reflecively email.
