Adding a note for library staff use
There are a number of scenarios where we would like to make a note against a request to flag up some special circumstances which apply to that request.
For example:
1) Explaining we are copyright compliant where it might look like we're not e.g. where page numbers look excessive/two sections of book which make up less than 5%
2) Explaining a discrepancy with the catalogue e.g. looks like we have an electronically available copy/sub but is actually a catalogue error
3) Renewals note e.g. determined at renewal that although there's a newer edition it doesn't have relevant chapter so will…

Requesting digitisation of documents
The ability to request digitisation of resources when they are given the resource type of 'document'.
Similar to idea 'Requesting digitisation of legal resource' but for documents more generally.
18 votesThe requesting of documents is something Talis are working towards. Currently Talis Aspire Digitised Content only enables you to upload materials that require copyright clearance, but the Talis Player will not only enable you to upload material that needs to be copyright cleared, but also other materials.
Talis have been working with beta partners to develop this, and we will keep you up to date with the wider release of this through the usual updates (webinars, newsletters, events etc).

Requesting digitisation of legal resources
Add the ability to request digitisation of legal resources.
The addition of new legal and law resources types in reading lists is appreciated, but it is still not possible to request digitisation for these resource types.5 votesThis is something Talis are working towards. Option to source from BL when scan has been uploaded
We would like the option of sourcing a request from BL even when the requestor has uploaded their own scan.We would like this as, where possible, we obtain an EHESS scan from BL. Currently if a copy has been uploaded there is no option to source from BL. It would be much more user friendly to have this option rather than to withdraw the request and ask the lecturer to rerequest it from the reading list.
1 voteYou can change the source of the request now when reviewing a request but we want to see if we can make this so you can raise the request via the BL using the API rather than manually.

Ability to upload jpeg images in TADC - currently can only upload pdfs
Whilst our scanner can save images in jpeg format, TADC is only able to upload pdfs. In our Art & Design dept lecturers prefer jpegs as the format presents a much clearer detailed image. In order to encourage Art & Design lecturers (under-represented in our stats) to use TARL and TADC we would like to have the facility to upload JPEGs.
