Statistics - Tracking individual users
At the moment Statistics - Views, print & downloads - show general usage but it does not show the statistics for individual users. What we get at the moment is the total amount of traffic (e.g. views and downloads) but we cannot tell when a single student opens an article 10 times: currently, the result we get is 10 views, but being able to track single users the result would be also 1 single view.
In this way, we would be able to compare and verify the exact number of students/lecturers who are using the system and not only the…

TADC digitisation and adding priorities
I have noticed when academics/staff submit digitisations, you cannot see the priority of the chapter they want digitised - e.g. Core, Recommended or Additional. We try to only digitise items with a Core priority. This creates a loophole for us. We end up spending a lot of money on digitisation requests which we shouldn't be.

Schedule dates for TADC requests to go live/or option to hide digitised content
We have had some instances where a request for digitisation has been made and that the scan go 'live' on a specific date. It would be useful to be able to upload digitised content and schedule the go live date in these instances so the work can be fully completed and uploaded in advance. Alternatively a feature for list editors to hide/make visible digitised content within a bookmark could be a potential option.

Requesting digitisation of documents
The ability to request digitisation of resources when they are given the resource type of 'document'.
Similar to idea 'Requesting digitisation of legal resource' but for documents more generally.
18 votesThe requesting of documents is something Talis are working towards. Currently Talis Aspire Digitised Content only enables you to upload materials that require copyright clearance, but the Talis Player will not only enable you to upload material that needs to be copyright cleared, but also other materials.
Talis have been working with beta partners to develop this, and we will keep you up to date with the wider release of this through the usual updates (webinars, newsletters, events etc).

Batch complete Rollover
When rolling over digitisations it is possible to complete the rollover process through the 'Successful' tab under 'By Pre-Clearance Status' on the 'Rollovers' tab.
Currently, it is possible to select an entire page worth of rollovers and batch complete them, however as there are only 25 results to a page we have to process a lot of a very small batches and then wait a while as the page refreshes. As we roll over hundreds of digitisations at a time we find this quite time consuming.
Would it be possible to either increase the amount of results to a page…4 votes -
Ability to request digitisation for an image
Ability to request digitisation for an image for copyright, where the parent on the bookmark is a book .
At the moment we can only put it in as a chapter and change it to image once we have digitised it. This is problematic as each time the list is copied or rolled, this will have to be changed over again.2 votes -
Report to identify where digitisation request has originated - RL or webform?
It would be useful to have the ability to pull data which tells us if a request has come via a Reading List or via the webform - it would help us identify engagement with Reading Lists or the VLE.

Suppress openURL link for Digitisations
We would like the option to suppress the openURL link, when we have a link to the digitalisation of an article. At the moment, when you expand the readfing list item, as well as the link to the digitalised copy there is a "Click for full text" link. This link goes via our link resolver and invariably results in a "Sorry we do not have this article" message. If we did have access to the article then we wouldn't have digitalised it in the first place. An option to disable would cause less confusion with our users - which is…

Email notifications when a digitisation request is assigned to a user
Would it be possible to get an email notification when a digitisation request is assigned to you?
We are wanting to let our academics request their own digitisations and then the library can assign the request to the relevant member of staff to deal with, depending on the outcome. At the moment each staff member would need to log in to TADC everyday to check if anything has been assigned to them, whereas getting an email would notify them straight away. This would help with our workflows for getting more digitisations on the system, within a reasonable amount of time.…

Remove trigger for "Existing electronic copy available - referred" for known sources where we cannot link to online
There are known sources which prohibit linking to the online source, e.g. HBR, so if possible could the referred status for this source be flagged so that when rolling over digitisations only , we do not need to have to select 'source from print copy' as we are unable to source from electronic or link to electronic sources. Our annual rollover of digitisations would be vastly streamlined if TADC knew that we couldn't link to the electronic source so therefore did not ask.

More editing options for dictionary entries in TADC
To have the ability to add additional 'special requirements text' (e.g. %REQUEST_DETAILS%) to the subject line or message of an email, would enable us to fully customise our messages that the Academics receive.
For example, we are wanting to add the module code to the subject line of the Live Request Email, but this is not possible as the 'special requirements text' for the course details is not in that specific entry.
Currently you can only move the 'special requirements text' within the existing dictionary entry, not between different entries. We are only now looking at the dictionary entries as…

Request digitisation for resources which have online resource button ticked
We have had feedback from a number of academics with long readings lists with a mix of online sources and resources which need to be digitised. When they edit their list , every resource as it is digitisable has a request digitisation option, which they find confusing as they want to be able to quickly navigate to those resources which aren't available online to request those only. Often we get requests from academics for digitisations in error as the presence of the request option makes then think that they need to request even though the resource is online.

Withdraw expired digitisations
Currently expired digitisations can not be withdrawn, but there are situations where this functionality would be useful.
We have been informed by our RRO that a certain publisher has asked to be excluded from our licence, and as such we need to remove any content from that publisher. We also need to prevent any future user requests from auto-matching with previously digitised material in the vault.
This would also be useful for quality control purposes, and resolving issues that sometimes only become apparent in reports, after the digitisation has expired.5 votes -
Can the ticked chapter box be changed to 'opt in' rather than 'opt out'?
In relation to the request digitisation form we have noticed that some requests which far exceed the CLA limits are being approved by the concierge due to the 'this is one chapter' box being ticked by default. Would it be possible to make the ticking of the 'this is one chapter' box an opt in choice, rather than have it set to 'on' by default?

LCN reporting in TADC
It would be really useful if the TADC reports included the Library control number from which the item was digitised. I know reading lists reports can provide the LCN so I was hoping the same could be implemented in TADC. This will help identify items in our library collection that have been digitised and ensure they remain in our collection and are not accidentally weeded.

Filter TADC request list 'All stages' by blank
A team of us deal with TADC requests and assign stages e.g. Book on order. We would like the ability to filter the request list to see only the requests which haven't been assigned a status so we do not visit requests unnecessarily.
9 votesWe are reviewing this idea to see if it will be possible to filter items by no stage set.

When the British Library do not hold the item, can TADC add a "GET IT FOR ME" function that BLDSS have.
When the British Library do not hold the item, the request is rejected via TADC. Can TADC add a "GET IT FOR ME" function that asks the BL to obtain the Copyright CLeared article from another institution. We use this function via our library management system easily enough, but it would be useful not to have to place a request twice.

Worklog Report
The purpose of the report is to produce data on reporting Service Level Agreements, as well as finding out averages, etc.
2 votesIt would be really helpful to have further information on how you see this report working, are you looking for a worklog report for each requests or something at a higher level? More information may allow others to input to the idea and vote on this.

A TADC API
Specifically for usage - prints, downloads and views. We have a project that is monitoring 7 modules - the usage of the items on these modules. We want to automate the gathering of data as much as possible. We can use the Talis linked data API to get the data. For hardcopy books we can use the LCN (which is the bib number in our LMS) to retrieve loans, reservations and renewals automatically, and we would ike to be able to look up TADC data for each request. An API seems the obvious solution.

Statistics - Views, print & downloads : add the ability to run reports by course time period
Statistics - Views, print & downloads : add the ability to run reports by course time period & have the time period (Semester 1, Semester 1 & 2 Academic year etc) and / or the dates appear in the report.
22 votesWe are reviewing this idea, as feel it is an important measurement for usage of scans.
