    Currently there is no option to hide/unhide sections of lists, we would like to see the option to allow gradual release of lists, and to publish those sections which are ready before a list is complete.

    We have been reviewing this idea following on from the list edit work that has been taking place and would like to now explore this piece further.

    This is an example of how an idea may be declined at a point in time but as we explore and develop new areas we do review all ideas past and present and consider them all.

  2. Compulsory setting of importance field

    The majority of our academics are not using the 'Set importance' tag for each item on their list. Could this be made a compulsory field when adding the item? This information is required to enable the correct number of items to be purchased and for student information of the books importance.

    With the change in New List Edit the importance field is now more prominent and highlighted in red when it has not been set.

    We will continue to review this functionality in line with Continued Improvements.

  3. Copy one list into another with losing notes etc.

    List creators here have asked to be able to copy content from one list into another. Currently it is only possible to export/import records e.g. from someone else's list, from one list to My Bookmarks and then drag them into another list. This is quite time consuming and notes to library/students are lost.

  4. Library note for a list

    It would be useful to be able to have notes on lists that cannot be read by public users, but which include admin information for system admins. E.g. if a list does not have a hierarchy node, it would be useful to be able to note the changes on the list rather than having to keep that information in a separate system outside the software.

    In fact, an admin area for systems notes would be useful overall.

  5. Book chapter read status/notes

    We have had negative student feedback relating to book chapters which have come from the same original bookmark. Setting a Read Status changes for each mention of the book made from the same bookmark. Bookmarks need to be unique for separate notes to be added, so if the individual chapters have been added from the same initial bookmark, then the notes added for each will overwrite the previous. We would like the option for Read Status and notes to be recorded against a single bookmark instead of all instances of the bookmark.

    Using the ‘Has Part’ does create a new resource ID and they would behave as you suggest so that students can log notes on individual items. The current being able to add a ‘Has Part’ has been designed with this scenario in mind. It maybe this action itself that needs improvement to make it easier for Academics to flag chapter references. We will continue to monitor the idea and if there is significant support we will of course review.

  6. Ability to bulk delete lists

    Where there are a lot of lists to delete the ability to bulk delete them would save an enormous amount of time.

  7. Enhance the LTI tools to grant access to lists

    Extend the LTI integration so that an academic can click through from a module in their learning management system (Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc) to Aspire and be granted appropriate access to the list in Aspire. This would be a much more effective way to grant academics List Publisher access to their lists than the clumsy email invitation system.

    This functionality is available in other systems such as Echo360 Lecture Capture so it has the additional advantage of being familiar to academics who are already using this.

  8. Option to create a new blank list on the module screen

    When you create a new module you see the screen where you can link an existing list. It would be very handy at this point to have a button that says 'create a new list' that contains a hotlink to the new list page.
    (At present I have 'Create a new list' saved as a frequently used bookmark but this would be useful if using a different computer)
