An essential part of Aspire will be the Acquisitions Reporting. Although- hopefully not a 'new idea' as such (Sussex and I expect other universities have discussed ideas around the Acquisitions Reporting with the development team) I thought it would be useful to open this idea out for discussion here to get an idea of how this part of Aspire will be developed.
How do you see the Acquisitions Reporting working? Is tagging individual resources an option? Would academics have the option to indicate how many copies to buy? Can 'not in stock' items be highlighted in some way on the report? Other questions that come to mind are- at what stage of the publishing process would a report be generated and what information should be displayed in the report?
There is now an Acquisitions review report where users can query by date added, item type and importance. Data can also be exported to CSV for offline processing.
