We would like to suggest two additional reports for the Reports menu that would provide list and item usage statistics globally across departments and modules with the aim of demonstrating the value of reading lists and impact on item usage. One report for Page views and one for Item Views.
Key fields we would like to see included are; page view (main list page), module code, module title, department, the number of students on the course, number of items on a list and for Item Views the item format.48 votes
The existing reporting infrastructure cannot report on usage data as it is stored differently. We will be doing some investigation into how usage data can be exposed.
The coutts oasis widget links on ISBN which limits its effectiveness for searching for later editions, it would be better if it searched on title.25 votes
We had some discussions with Coutts towards the end of last year about this and they need to do some work. As they are migrating to a new version of their site iPage, they advised that they would make the changes for the new site. We will need to touch base with them again to catch up on their migration and plans for implementing the requested change
Once a list review has been completed the requester is e-mailed and informed that the review is complete. However s/he cannot see the results of the review, the helpful comments and information that have been added by library staff. Could the link in the message be changed so that it takes the requester to the results of hte review, rather than to the reading list.16 votes
We are investigating this in the reviews theme
We would like the item count at the top of each list to include only actual resources, not the note fields that contain supplementary information.11 votes
We are investigating this as part of the in progress work to move to live reporting
If you create lots of lists, as library staff at Stirling do, then you create hundreds and in some cases thousands of bookmarks. We'd like to be able to bulk delete bookmarks which are no longer required. Currently you have to select per page of 25 and then remove from view from My Bookmarks This is very time consuming.5 votes
We may be able to do this as part of planned enhancements to bookmarking
When completing a review, it is possible to send a message to the person who started the review. However, once sent, the content of that message is lost to the sender.
It would be useful to copy in ones own email address in on the message so that a record can be kept of the communication.4 votes
We are exploring some ideas around this as part of the reviews work we are doing
At the moment we have alerts to let us know when a user has requested a review of their list, it would be great if we could have an alert in place for when a list is published. This way we could keep track on what is being published and whether they are being sent for review first.3 votes
I am setting this idea as Investigation. Whilst we will not be implementing a notification, we will explore how to indicate items on published lists which have not been reviewed as part of the work we will be doing in the reviews refresh. I have changed its category to Acquisitions so it lives with the other ideas we are exploring as part of that theme. It has also been moved to the archive forum.
At the moment there is an option to request an email notification if any alternative resources are located for a specific item within the Dashboard.
One of our Academic Support Librarians suggested it would be useful if course organisers could opt-in to be notified via an email when the Dashboard feature picks up a new edition of any book on that list.2 votes
Looking into as part of wider investigations into notifications across the system
I am getting a large number of "Am I listed for module XYZ" Requests at the moment.
We would like to see a Human friendly /saml/attributes page that allows a user to see which modules they have Publish Rights to.2 votes
