Assign a person to a request
It would be nice if you could assign a named person to a request so that you can see who is working on a particular request. At the moment there is no way of knowing who is doing what from the list of referred requests or if a request has been actioned. We have several different staff members from different sites who sometimes work on digitisation requests.
We released an improvement in November 2017 that allows TADC users to assign requests to other users not just themselves. This will mean greater process management for many universities. This action can be taken from the “All requests” view and from within an individual request view. Thanks to University of Reading for co-funding this development.

I agree as well - it would be useful when you have someone who is part time, or a new start , & who isn't sitting directly next to you.

I agree it would be useful to assign requests to an individual. In our set-up it would be useful for a junior team member to assign those requests where more experience/knowledge is required.

Agree will all the other comments. Would enhance our workflow as we will have a number of people working within TADC.

I agree it would be useful to be able to assign other people than ourselves. This is quite important when we have many people working in the Digitisation Service. It is also useful when the Digitisation Sercice needs to refer the request to a Subject Librarian to purchase an item or authorise copyright clearance.

We too would find it useful to have the option of assigning requests to individuals, it would assist us with our workflows where, as mentioned in a previous comment, it would be beneficial if one person could assign work to others within our team.

I've just moved this from completed back to under review. This was implemented to allow someone to assign themselves to a request though the intention of the description does include assigning others.
At present it seems to be possible to assign a request to yourself but not to others. We'd like one member of staff to check through new requests and to be able to assign them to different members of the team.
